Caroline has 13 years of practising experience as a Clinical Dental Technician, in both clinical and domiciliary settings.
A Clinical Dental Technician is dually skilled in both the clinical aspects such as impression taking and obtaining the correct bite position alongside the technical skills of creating the dentures from setting up the teeth to manufacturing the final denture.
Clinical Dental Technicians provide one dental professional for the provision of a denture allowing the patient to develop a one to one relationship with the same person throughout the process of their treatment.
Complete denture wearers can be serviced directly. Partially dentate patients will require a referral
and treatment plan from their existing Dentist.
Being from a rich and diverse family history including Caribbean and Indian being London born,
provides her with the ability to communicate effectively across the breadth of society.
After completing a three-year BSc. in Dental Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University in
2001, she studied further to become a Clinical Dental Technician under the George Brown College
Qualification (Toronto, Ca) that was accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007.

After serving twenty months on the Board of The British Association of Clinical Dental Technicians sharing her passion and experience in domiciliary care providers and also highlighting the profile of Female Clinical Dental Technicians, Caroline has now focused her efforts on the Career Pathway for Clinical Dental Technicians and can be found as part of the panel involved with The College of General Dentistry providing guidance for this project which in turn will raise the profile of this Dental Care Professional Group.
She has also been involved with the first pilot scheme to undertake NHS provision of denture care to residential care home patients currently being trialled in the North West of England with the hope that the pilot will provide positive feedback to enable a similar service to be undertaken in the South of England at some stage.
