Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a false tooth that is used to fill a gap left by a missing tooth.  A dental bridge is made to look and feel just like your natural teeth and unlike dentures, a bridge is permanently fixed.  This treatment “crowns” the two teeth either side of the missing teeth and false teeth are fixed to them therefore “bridging the gap”.

A gap left by a missing tooth can lead to  the teeth on either side drifting or leaning into the gap, trapping food debris and causing decay.  Because a dental bridge is custom-made, it is barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite between upper and lower teeth. Replacing missing teeth will also prevent stress on other teeth and the drifting of adjacent teeth.

The procedure for a dental bridge involves a similar preparation as for a crown. We ensure that your bridge is made in the laboratory to the highest standards, matching your natural teeth.
